Pre‑owned vehicles are often purchased at a point when the manufacturer’s basic warranty is nearing its end or has already expired. That can leave the new owner responsible for unexpected repair costs shortly after purchase. Certified Pre-Owned programs are designed to help reduce that risk by giving buyers added confidence and protection when choosing a pre-owned vehicle.

An MBPI Certified Pre-Owned vehicle must pass a thorough inspection before it can receive the Certified Pre-Owned designation. This inspection is designed to verify that major mechanical and electrical systems meet established standards. If an inspected item does not meet those standards, it must be corrected before the vehicle can be certified. If the required standards are not met, the vehicle does not qualify for certification. Once the vehicle passes inspection, it earns the MBPI Certified Pre-Owned designation and receives additional limited warranty coverage to help supplement any remaining manufacturer’s warranty.

60 Month / 100,000 Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty

Coverage begins from the vehicle’s original in-service date.
 

12 Month / 12,000 Mile Exclusionary Limited Warranty 

Coverage begins at the time of purchase or when the manufacturer’s basic warranty expires, whichever provides the greater benefit.
